PASO ROBLES WINE TOURS BY LIMO, BUS & COACH!

Paso Robles is about a hundred and eighty miles up the 101 from our Thousand Oaks office — realistically four hours each way in a large vehicle. We will happily run it as a day trip and people do, but we would rather say the honest thing first: a Paso day means leaving before sunrise, three wineries, and a late night home. Most groups end up happier doing it as an overnight, and we run it either way.
When it is a day trip, we build the route so the time goes into tasting rather than manoeuvring. Ancient Peaks at Santa Margarita sits about twenty-five minutes short of Paso on the way up, so it costs nothing to make it the first stop. Downtown Paso Robles is a walkable tasting-room district around the City Park — park once and walk to a dozen rooms — and Tin City, three miles south off Ramada Drive, is a flat warehouse district with more than twenty wineries, breweries and distilleries in a single walk. Between those two you have a full day with almost no driving.
The east side along Highway 46 East is where the roads run flat and straight and the properties are big enough for a bus to turn around. Eberle, Robert Hall, CASS, Sculpterra and Rava all sit within about ten minutes of one another. Rava asks groups of twenty or more to call ahead, CASS recommends reservations from thirteen up, and Robert Hall runs private tours from six — and is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which catches people out. On the 46 West corridor, Niner handles groups of twelve and up and has a proper lunch restaurant.
The west side — Adelaida Road, Peachy Canyon, the climb toward two thousand three hundred feet — is the prettiest part of Paso and the worst place to take a coach. Narrow, winding, and short of anywhere to turn one around. We will take a sedan or an SUV limousine up there gladly. For a party bus or a coach we route the east side and the walkable districts instead, and we tell you that before you book rather than after.
Wine tours are $199 an hour with a three-hour minimum, though a Paso day runs eleven to fourteen hours door to door; otherwise sedans and SUVs at $85 an hour, stretch limousines at $199, SUV limousines at $229, and party and limo buses at $249. Coaches, overnight charters and one-way transfers are quoted per trip. Every quote is written and all-in, and a real person answers the phone at any hour.
