Booking & Reservations
How do I book a limo with American Luxury Limousine?
Call (805) 494-8356 or use our contact page to start a booking. Our reservations team will confirm vehicle availability, pricing, route, and pickup times, then send a written confirmation. We accept reservations 24 hours a day.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to four weeks ahead is typical for weekends, weddings, proms, and wine tours. Last-minute bookings are possible — call us and we'll do our best with available vehicles. Olympic-period bookings (LA28, summer 2028) require booking months in advance.
What's included in your limo and party bus prices?
All quoted prices include the chauffeur, fuel, vehicle prep and detailing, ice and bottled water, basic decorations on request, and standard road tolls within the booked route. Gratuity is separate and is shown on your confirmation.
Pricing & Payment
Is there a minimum rental time?
Most vehicles have a 3- or 4-hour minimum on weekends. Airport transfers and one-way trips can be booked as point-to-point with no minimum. Wedding packages typically run 6 hours.
Are gratuities included in the price?
Gratuity is not included in the base rate. Industry-standard tip is 18-20% of the trip total, billed to the credit card on file. You're welcome to tip your chauffeur additional cash on top if the service was great.
What's your cancellation policy?
Standard rentals can be cancelled with full refund up to 7 days before the booking. Within 7 days a 50% cancellation fee applies. Within 24 hours the booking is non-refundable. Wedding bookings have separate terms — check your contract.
Do you charge for waiting time?
Booked time runs continuously from your scheduled pickup. If you go over your booked time, the chauffeur will request authorization for additional hours at the published hourly rate. Airport waiting (for delayed flights) is included for the first 30 minutes — see flight-delay policy below.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. Corporate accounts can be invoiced. We do not accept cash for the booking total but you may tip cash.
What's your price range?
Sedans and SUVs start around $85-$110/hour. Stretch limos and SUV limos are $150-$200/hour. Party buses run $200-$300/hour depending on size. Airport transfers are quoted as flat rates. Quotes are written and itemized — call (805) 494-8356 for an exact price.
Do you charge hourly or flat rate?
Both. In-area hourly rentals (wine tours, weddings, bachelor parties) are billed by the hour. Airport transfers and one-way trips (LA → Las Vegas, LA → Santa Barbara) are quoted as flat rates.
Onboard & Policies
Can I bring alcohol on the limo or party bus?
Adults 21+ may bring alcohol on most of our vehicles. We provide ice and stocked coolers. California law prohibits open containers in non-limo vehicles, so always remain inside the limo while drinking.
Can we eat in the vehicle?
Light snacks and water are fine on every vehicle. For full meals or messy food (sauces, frosting, etc.) please ask when booking — some vehicles have stricter food policies to protect upholstery.
Can children ride in your vehicles? Do you provide car seats?
Children of all ages are welcome. California law requires age-appropriate car seats for kids under 8 or 4'9" in standard vehicles; in stretch limousines and party buses, child-seat law is more relaxed but we still recommend bringing one for infants. We don't supply car seats — please bring your own.
Is there a minimum age for renting a party bus?
The booking customer must be 21+ and the named credit-card holder. Passengers can be any age. For prom and high-school events we require a parent/guardian to be on the booking and a chaperone may be required for full party-bus rentals.
What happens if my event runs over the booked time?
Just ask the chauffeur. Additional time is billed at the published hourly rate, charged to the card on file at the end of the rental. Most over-runs are no problem if the chauffeur is available.
Are your vehicles wheelchair-accessible?
Several of our limo buses can accommodate folding manual wheelchairs. We do not currently have a vehicle with a powered wheelchair lift. Mention accessibility needs when booking and we'll match you to the right vehicle.
Can you decorate the limo for our event?
Yes — basic balloons, ribbons, and "Just Married" or birthday signage are included on request at no extra charge. For elaborate décor, custom signage, or specific colors, ask when booking and we'll quote.
Is the chauffeur included in the price?
Yes. Every vehicle is rented with a professional, licensed, uniformed chauffeur. We do not rent vehicles for self-driving.
Service & Routing
Can we make multiple stops?
Yes. Wine tours, bachelor/bachelorette nights, and birthday rentals frequently stop at multiple venues. Tell us your itinerary when booking and the chauffeur will plan the route.
What areas do you serve?
Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County. Specific cities include Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Pasadena, Long Beach, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ojai, Simi Valley, Santa Barbara, and Santa Ynez.
Do you serve LAX, Burbank, Long Beach, Santa Barbara airports?
Yes — all major Southern California airports. We provide flight tracking, meet-and-greet at baggage claim, and curbside or terminal pickup depending on the airport. Common airports: LAX, Bob Hope (Burbank), Long Beach (LGB), Santa Barbara (SBA), Hollywood Burbank, Van Nuys (private), and Ontario.
What's the largest party bus you have?
Our biggest limo bus comfortably seats 40+ passengers, with a wraparound bench, hardwood floors, surround sound, multiple TVs, color-changing LED, and a wet bar. Smaller party buses for 20-30 are also available.
Do you offer wedding packages?
Yes. Wedding packages typically include the bridal-party limo, photo-stop coordination, on-time guest shuttles, decorations, and a coordinated chauffeur. Multi-vehicle wedding fleets are available for larger groups.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight in real time. The first 30 minutes of post-landing wait are included in standard airport pickups; longer delays add waiting-time charges at the published rate. We'll always be there when you land — no extra fees for arriving early.
