Both Directions: LA to the Valley — and Back
Eastbound, we pick up anywhere from Santa Barbara to Orange County and roll straight to your rental house or the grounds. Westbound works exactly the same: valley-based groups get festival-day rides to the gates and a ride home to LA when the weekend ends — Sunday night or Monday morning, your call, with the whole crew asleep in climate control while the 10 does its worst. Small parties of six or fewer can do it as a same-day round trip in a sedan or SUV. For a party bus or coach we run it as two one-way legs instead — out on the Thursday or Friday, home on the Sunday or Monday — because a driver who has covered 165 miles and then stood by all evening cannot legally take a full bus home at one in the morning, and we would rather tell you that now than at the gate.
Hire the Bus for the Whole Week
The strongest way to do a festival: keep the vehicle and chauffeur for the week. A week-long charter covers the ride out, scheduled shuttles all weekend, midweek runs — pool days, Palm Springs dinners, El Paseo — and the ride home; two-weekend Coachella groups can hold the charter across both weekends. One vehicle, one driver who learns your group, one written quote for the whole itinerary. These book first — they are the best value per day and there are only so many buses.
Festival Weekend Logistics
During the weekend we run scheduled shuttles between your house and the grounds, timed to the set lists you care about — out after breakfast, back after the encore. Two field notes from experience: cell coverage collapses near the venue on peak nights, so pickup points and times are fixed in writing before the weekend; and guests 21 and over are welcome to bring drinks aboard the buses — we provide ice and coolers. A crew of 12 fits the Mercedes party van; bigger groups take a party bus — 24 to 56 passengers with LED interiors, premium sound, and desert-proof climate control. 2027 Dates, and What Actually Happens at the Gate
Coachella 2027: weekend one is April 9–11, weekend two is April 16–18. Stagecoach 2027: April 23–25. All three at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, about two hours fifty from Thousand Oaks with no traffic — and four to five hours on a festival Friday, which is the number we actually plan around.
Worth knowing before you book anything: Coachella’s 2027 general admission sold out in under three hours last May, and the festival’s own shuttle passes are now waitlist–only. If you have wristbands and no ride, that is the position most people are in right now. Stagecoach passes were still selling when we last checked.
On arrival, be wary of anyone promising to drop you at the gate. The festival runs a pass-controlled drop-off area for licensed black car and limo services, and without that pass every commercial vehicle uses the public pick-up and drop-off at Madison Street and Avenue 52 — same as everyone else. That is where we set you down unless you have specifically paid for gate-adjacent access, and it is a five-minute walk rather than a problem.
Two more things competitors get wrong. Coachella allows no bus, RV or motorhome camping at all — passenger cars, trucks and vans only, one vehicle per site, and it cannot be moved for the duration. Stagecoach does have RV lots; the two get confused constantly. And preferred parking spaces are 8.5 by 16 feet, which fits a sedan and nothing else we run.
Goldenvoice had not posted 2027 shuttle pricing as of early September 2026; passes go on sale through AXS, listed separately for each weekend. Last cycle the festival shuttle ran $150 for the Coachella weekend and $130 for Stagecoach, so budget in that neighbourhood until the real number is up. We are not trying to beat that on price and we will not pretend otherwise — a private charter earns its money on a group splitting one vehicle from their own driveway, with luggage, on their own schedule.
Worth knowing before you count on it: the festival shuttle is a valley service, not a ride from home. Its roughly fifteen stops all sit inside the Coachella Valley — hotels around Indio, La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage, plus park-and-ride at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, The Shops at Palm Desert and Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage. There is a separate airport shuttle that runs LAX to four desert destinations and back. So if you are starting from Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles, Ventura or Santa Barbara, the shuttle pass covers the last few miles of your trip and none of the 130 that come before it. That gap is the part we drive.

For reference, the festival’s own shuttle ran $150 for the Coachella weekend last cycle; 2027 pricing was not posted yet as of early September 2026. Note that shuttle only picks up at valley hotels and park-and-ride lots, so it does not replace the ride out from home. A private charter is worth it when a group is travelling together from one place with luggage, not when one person needs a lift.
Can you hire the vehicle for the whole week?
Yes, and for a group of twenty or more it is usually the better answer. The vehicle and chauffeur stay in the valley, the driver takes a proper rest each night, and the hotel-to-venue runs are fifteen to forty minutes. Two-weekend Coachella groups can hold the charter across both weekends.
Do you cover Stagecoach as well?
