Solvang is about an hour and fifty minutes up the 101 from our Thousand Oaks office, and it is the best-fitting destination we serve for a full wine day. American Luxury Limousine has run five-star chauffeured wine tours since 2001. Wine tours are $199 an hour with a three-hour minimum, and a real Solvang day runs six to eight hours door to door.
The reason Solvang works is that downtown is a walkable tasting-room village. Park once and cover Dascomb Cellars, Lucas & Lewellen, Toccata and The Good Life Cellars on foot, then drive out to Ballard Canyon or the Sta. Rita Hills for the estate rooms — Alma Rosa and Buttonwood Farm among them. One pickup, one drop, and nobody in the group drawing the short straw.
Groups staying the night use Alisal Ranch, The Landsby or the Corque Hotel. Weddings at the valley’s ranch properties are coach or limo-bus work rather than a single stretch. Danish Days runs September 18–20 in 2026 and Julefest from November 27 through January 3 — both make downtown parking genuinely difficult, which is the plain reason to be dropped at the door.
We run Solvang as a day trip from Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Ventura and Santa Barbara, and it pairs with nearby Buellton on the same day. Otherwise sedans and SUVs at $85 an hour, stretch limousines at $199, SUV limousines at $229, and party buses and limo buses at $249; coaches are quoted per trip.
